Almassian Jewelers was established in 2006 by husband and wife gemologists Shannon and Trent Almassian. Their intention was to open a retail jewelry store that would provide West Michigan with access to the international jewelry industry that was previously only available in larger markets. Trent is the third generation in his family to be in the jewelry industry. He is a Graduate Jeweler Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), and a Certified Gemologist from the American Gem Society (AGS). Trent has a unique understanding of the industry, having worked for Tiffany & Co. in Southern California as well as in the diamond district in Chicago, and on Chicago’s Oak Street. He is able to create one of a kind custom jewelry to the most exacting clients. Shannon is Graduate Gemologist, and Certified Gemologist. Shannon’s experience of working for a national jewelry designer in Denver, as a Graduate Gemology instructor at GIA and as a fine jewelry buyer for a retail chain in Chicago provides Almassian Jeweler’s clients with access to specialty suppliers that were not available in the area.
Together, Trent and Shannon are able to provide their clients with the finest, ethically sourced diamonds and gemstones from around the world in custom designed jewelry pieces. In addition to working with each client to create the perfect piece of jewelry, Almassian Jewelers sells some the finest jewelry designers as well as Swiss Watches.
